Selling a 70's Ventura V-17 12- string acoustic guitar. It is vintage and made in Japan on the label. It has NEW light gauge strings on it. It's neck has been broken and mended back at the root of the neck to the body of guitar. It kinda looks terrible in one photo but that is the heavy polyurethane clear coats showing thru and enhanced by the picture. Apparently it was put on real thick for extra stability. It is on back of neck, so it never really shows out. You can still see crack on back of neck but is very, very tightly securely glued. See pics. It plays well and has a very nice tone and I have recorded some nice sounds with it. It stays in tune! It is a dreadnaught guitar. The action on it is low and chords, frets are well and in good shape. The guitar has great low action and sustain! It needs a new bridge replaced and some setup because the 12th and 11th strings buzz on the 5 fret. The wood mounting piece of the bridge has been coated with clear coat too, it has clear coat repair. It does not look damaged other than giving it coats of clear on it. It has a nice original finish on top, sides, and back of body, and upper parts of neck and headstock, for a 30 year old guitar, considering its age. It has dings and dents in the wood from use, of course, but nothing major except the mended lower neck shown. The neck IS straight and NOT warped at all! It plays perfectly well. It is still a great sounding guitar, after the repair work done to it. It needs some TLC from the right person who is willing to take the guitar in his/her arms. My late friend owned this guitar (he was in a band when younger) and just trying to find it a good home and someone that can get some good use out of it. I guarantee you will like its playability, if not return it, you pay shipping back. Price is firm including shipping. It comes with a thin cardboard case, just an old one to ship it in. I have done my best to describe the overall condition of this guitar. It has been shined, stringed, and lemon-oiled. Thank you for looking.
