You are looking at an outstanding Ibanez Talman TV550. Not just an ordinary Ibanez, it has pedigree. Manufactured in the famous Japanese "Fuligen" factory, 1994, the guitar also features Korean Sky pickups, 2 mini-humbuckers and a lipstick in the middle. Sky pickups were handwound replica's of the pickups that Danelectro used in the 60's. Punchy, plenty of tone and bite. All gold hardware.
One of the main characteristics of the first Talman's was their "Resoncast" body. Translated, this was what they called a "medium-density-fiberboard" or "MDF", which in layman terms was unsuable bits of alder mixed with resin for a high-pressure compression. The result is a very solid, vintage sounding guitar. A vintage style vibrato, 3 springs attached, finishes off the body. The neck is made of maple with a rosewood fingerboard. Vintage-style "Kluson-like" tuners (possibly manufactured by Gotoh) in an off-set configuration add some distinction to the peghead.
The guitar is in excellent condition. On a scale from 1-10, this would qualify as an 8. Little wear, no bumps, dents, huge sracthes, minimal belt rash that's barely noticable. There is one extremely minor flaw by the neck pocket...I would classify it as a "finish check" about a 1/4" in length. It's not structural. It's not a "crack", but merely a spot perhaps where, either the paint or final finish didn't dry completely. You have to look for it, it's that small.
Completed with a Ibanez logo hard, black tolex case with gray plush lining. All latches work properly and includes a hook to attach a hasp-like lock to it if so desired.
