This fine 1919 A-2 is all original, in great shape, and plays easily with low action, and sounds fantastic. It features a Red spruce top, maple back and sides, ebony fingerboard with pearl dots, and a pearl 'The Gibson' peghead overlay. It still has its original one piece bridge, still the most efficient, best sounding Gibson bridge ever. It ain't adjustable, but the action is perfect, neck is straight, and this thing plays like an old Gibson (much better than what they're making now). There are no cracks or breaks, just dents and dings, as you can see, and not too many of those for a 92 year old instrument. There are plenty of the original frets left. It still has its original, deteriorating pickguard (which I will ship in a separate package) and original case. A great mandolin for blues or old time, or anything you wish to use it for. These are harder to find in crack free condition, and our opening bid is very reasonable. Bid early and often!
