1972 Guild S 100 S100 electric guitar
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-11-26)
Price : US $625.00
Up for bid is a 1972 Guild S-100 in black (serial #71596). Although the finish is worn in several areas, this guitar plays beautifully with amazing tone and fast action. Frets are in good condition. The stock pickups (which I will include) have been replaced (by Vincent Guidroz, master luthier of New Orleans Guitar Company) with DiMarzio PAFs which give a slightly warmer, richer tone. The phase shift switch was also modified to allow choice between pickup wiring in series or parallel providing for additional tonal variation. The fretboard binding was repaired in some areas. The neck has been sanded down to the bare wood to improve playability, as the original finish on the neck was worn. The guitar appears to have undergone a neck repair of some sort, but neck is very stable and straight. The intonation is perfect, and Grover tuners keep this guitar in tune.
I have tried to capture flaws as best as possible in the photos. Please email me with any questions.
This is guitar is a real player with many interesting tales to tell if looks are any indication. The only reason why I'm selling is because I have too many guitars and not enough room in my small house. I will include a hardshell case, probably as old as the guitar, but not the original.
Buyer pays shipping.
