Original 1950's Gibson P90 soapbar pickup & cover P 90
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-10-04)
Price : US $352.77
Vintage Gibson P-90 soapbar pickup, one of two that I'm listing. This one measures 8.49K ohms on my Fluke meter. Black wire is grounded to the base plate, white wire is a couple of inches long for connecting to the wire going to the controls.
Includes original creme pickup cover. Cover is stamped UC 452 B on the inside.
Shows some wear, scratched, but nothing severe. Some rust on the poles that can be carefully cleaned by the new owner, if desired.
I believe these pickups came from a 1952 through 1956 Les Paul that was converted to humbuckers. I bought them about 15 years ago as part of the estate of a guitar repairman. There are other parts of an early '50's Les Paul in the same box that these came out of. I will be listing more parts in the future.
This is the hotter of the two pickups, and would be best suited for the bridge position if it is used with the other one I'm listing.
Please check the pictures and ask any questions before bidding. See my other auction for the matching pickup. No Reserve, bid to win.
