1957 Fender Telecaster body, one piece ash, 3 lb.s 14.4 oz.s. Date code penciled in pickup cavity, 8/57. Both blonde and black finish can be seen in cavities, but guitar was walnut colored when I received it. I removed most of the finish to make sure it could be refinished blonde and I believe it could. The body is 1 3/4 inches thick and contours are pretty sharp except around neck pocket, neck plate, and lower cutout. These areas seem a little oversanded as I tried to show in pictures. They are not that bad, and could be finessed to appear unnoticable. When I received this body as part of a Telecaster made up of various vintage parts, the guitar really sang. You know how you can feel the guitar vibrate between your arm and belly as you play? I guess 50 year old wood, that is one piece, and less than 4 pounds, had something to do with that. It has some extra pickguard holes from a 8 hole guard that must have been installed at one time but no extra routing. It has typical early Fender uneven body ferrule placement and router template dowel marks on back. With a good refinish this will be a super cool piece. Pickguard and neckplate are not included, shown only to detail body.
