This guitar was made in Japan. It is unclear whether it is Kawai or Matsumoku as it has characteristics of both. Emperador\\\\\\\'s were a brand name imported to the US by Jack Westheimer. This is the sweetest guitar I have ever played and it is still original after 40 years. These are true collector\\\\\\\'s items and I have seen them sell for $800 to $1000. See picture.

Hey, just wondering if you can help me out... (nice guitar by the way). You see, I am, as of recently, the owner of an 'emperador' guitar. It's pretty much the same as this one, but it's in a natural wood finish and has 'mono' and 'stereo' pickups marked 1, 2, 3 & 4 (2 left, 2 right) and a big switch to change inbetween where the three way switch on yours is... Anychance you'd know about THIS emperador, as I can't find ANYTHING about it on the internet. Kind regards, pat x
