VINTAGE 1979 IBANEZ ARTIST 2619 AR 300 AR300 GUITAR
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2006-07-17)
Price : US $1,251
Very rare 1979 Ibanez Artist model 2619 Electric guitar. I believe 1979 was the year before they changed the body thickness and switched the model name to AR300.
These original 2619 Artist guitars are getting extremely rare and almost impossible to find.
In my opinion these Vintage Ibanez Aritst guitars are the best you can buy. The craftsmanship is amazing. This guitar features a solid Mahogany body with a maple top, Ebony fretboard with abalone inlays, Gold hardware, pearloid tuner buttons, Flying fingers pickups and original coil tap switches.
Truly a top of the line guitar. The guitar is all original with no mods/breaks or replaced parts. The original flying fingers pickups do sound great from anything from rock to jazz. In my opinion this guitar is a les paul killer. It has sustain that lasts for days.Cosmetically the guitar is in good used condition with a few dings. The frets are in great condition with little wear and years of life left in them. This guitar has not been played much over the years and is in great shape for a 28 year old guitar.
The original Hard shell case is in good condition but is missing one latch but that does not effect the use of the case.
This guitar is sold (sold on 2006-07-17)

I have a 1979 2619 with two twin open humbuckers (no plates) and an amazing out of phase switch, wghich I think distinguihes the model from the AR 300. The abilone inlays and finish is incredible. The rythmn cluster tends to be louder than the bridge. Any value ideas?

Then I'm gonna keep mine! I bought this type of guitar 10 years ago for about 100 dollars. Looks like we hit the jackpot!
