What we have here is a beautiful Gibson SG '61 Reissue. This one is finished in a hard to find classic white which is kind of a cream color. The guitar is in near perfect condition. Pretty much looks unplayed. An extremely light guitar stand stain on the back of the neck. No nicks dings, buckle marks or fretware. These have the classic '57 humbuckers and a slim '60's neck profile. Auction includes the original Gibson hardshell case and all the case candy.

A Little SG History
In 1961, the Les Paul was redesigned with a thinner body and 2 sharp cutaway horns making the upper frets more accessible while lowering production costs. The new guitar was popular, but Les Paul the guitarist did not like it and asked to have his name removed. Gibson renamed the model the 'SG' which was short for 'solid guitar'.
