Here is a very cool guitar that you don't see too often. It's a 1994 Washburn Mercury Series guitar. This particular instrument was made in Chicago and is jam packed with some very interesting player centric features.
The Stratocaster style body has the forearm relief cut and the ribcage chamfer but is very compact. It's about 90% the size of a regular Stratocaster. It has a Honduras Mahogany body with a flamed maple top. The color ranges from a pretty blue with very subtle hints of grey all the way to a really attractive purple depending on the light.
It has a one piece maple neck, nice dark rosewood fretboard, offset pearl dot fret markers, 22 frets, locking tuners, and truss rod adjustment at the base of the neck via a body channel. Nut width is a comfortable 1 5/8' with a C profile. Also, the body has been rounded at the neck heel for better access to the upper register.
It has a standard 5 way pickup selector, that works the same as a fat Strat, hooked up to the factory installed Seymour Duncans. I believe the single coils are SSL5's and the bridge humbucker is a JB. The 2 point tremolo is a Wilkinson VS 100 with a steel block.
I would rate the overall condition a solid 9.7 There are a couple of pin head size pings here and there but you have to look really close to see them. Your bassplayer would say the guitar is mint. Protect
