Price : US $1,300.
Martin electric/accoustic guitar, model 00-18E. Serial number 188041 (which I think makes this a '63). The only thing the owner didn't like about this little gem was that the action up higher on the neck is a little high. The neck is straight, so it is not due to that. He thinks that if the bridge insert was reworked by a knowledgable person this would play like a dream. Possibly someone along the way replaced the original and this is why the height seems a bit off. The DeArmond pickup is really powerful---volume and tone work well. Great sound. The volume pot nut is a little loose and I decided to leave the tightening of it to the buyer. All in all a great guitar, even though it is not cosmetically perfect.
I have tried to show any flaws. In the photo with the ruler there is a small dent with a crack about 2-1/2' long. Also see the photo showing the pickguard for more similar cracking. I cannot see or feel this spot from the inside so I don't know if it is more than surface cracking. There is a small chip a few inches from the strap peg. There are some small chips to the back of the neck as well as the sides of the headstock. The back has some buckle scratching.
Kluson Deluxe tuners.......some visible rust.
Binding....in good shape, a few little flaws.
