1956 NATIONAL ACADEMY LAP HAWAIIAN  STEEL GUITAR

VERY NICE LAP GUITAR . I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON GUITARS THIS DESCRIPTION CAME FROM A SHORT BIT OF RESEARCH ON THE COMPUTER SO GO BY THE PICTURES PLEASE . THE GUITAR IS MARKED {ACADEMY } .  ON THE BACK OF THE NECK ARE TWO METAL PLATES READING { MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC , SERIAL NUMBER X62579 } . THE SERIAL NUMBER MATCHES A 1956 NATIONAL GUITAR . I THINK THIS IS A NATIONAL GUITAR MADE FOR THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC , AN OPERA HOUSE IN PHILADELPHIA . SHOULD BE A  RARE MODEL WITH FEW BEING MADE . THE GUITAR MEASURES 32 INCHES LONG , HAS A PEARLOID TYPE FINISH , BLACK BACK , CLEAR FRET BOARD , METAL HAND REST . THE GUITAR COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL CASE , ALSO INCLUDES 4 FINGER PICKS , TWO MARKED NATIONAL , A STEEL SLIDE MARKED STEVENS STEEL , AND CORD . THE GUITAR IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION , THERE IS A CRACK IN THE METAL FINGER BOARD SHOWING IN ONE OF THE PICTURES , HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT COULD CRACK BUT IT IS HIDDEN WHEN THE COVER IS IN PLACE . THE CORD IS NOT ORIGINAL AND THE JACK HAS BEEN REPLACED . NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS . THE GUITAR LOOKS GREAT THE FINISH IS VERY NICE AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND IT WORKS FINE  . BOTH THE VOLUME AND TONE ARE WORKING  AS THEY SHOULD AND IT SOUNDS GREAT . . I PUT LOTS OF PICTURES SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON , THE DESCRIPTION IS TRUE TO MY KNOWLEDGE , BUT I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE , I THINK ? .

VERY NICE GUITAR COULD BE A RARE ONE .
