Lanny Cordola bought the 1979 Ibanez Destroyer in December 1981 and added Seymour Duncan pickups and a Floyd Rose tremolo bar. He played it as a member of American Heroes and Mondo Cane circa 1982-85. Mondo Cane was a regular headliner at the Troubadour, the Roxy, the Country Club, the Whisky and Gazzari’s, sharing the stage with the likes of Poison, Ratt, Hollywood Rose, Rough Cutt, Shark Island, Stealer, and many other up and coming L.A. bands (See picture of Lanny playing the guitar, as well as the group photo featuring comedian Paul Rodriguez holding guitar).
After Mondo Cane broke up, Lanny accepted an invitation to join Guiffria. He used the Ibanez Destroyer during the recording of Guiffria's second album, Silk & Steel, He also used it when he played with NRG, which featured with Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge in 1987 (See YouTube video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weBjtESy1nw).
Lanny used the Ibanez Destroyer on the House of Lords debut album before putting it away for good in the late 80s.
