Vintage 1940's Regal Archtop Acoustic Guitar VG
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-10-04)
Price : US $229.50
Up for auction is a very rare, vintage, 1940's, Regal, single cutaway, archtop acoustic guitar. This archtop is in very good condition for its age. This archtop is a real beauty, and also sounds as good as it looks. The original mother of pearl inlay work is quite striking, and looks really sharp. The neck was solidly and neatly reset many years ago; and is still solid today. The body of this awesome cherry sunburst archtop is made entirely of solid wood. The neck is straight, with the string height at the twelfe fret being 1/8', with no fret buzz right up the neck. Two solidly repaired hairline cracks on the back have no effect on the instrument. There are the usual surface buckle rash, and scratches; which is to be expected on a seventy year old instrument. Extremely solid guitar, with outstanding volume and vintage archtop tone. Tunes precisely and stays in tune. Very nice slender neck for this type of instrument. Shows minimal fret and fretboard wear. Nut width is 1 3/4 inches. The lower bout measures sixteen inches. Features a floating, adjustable rosewood bridge and rosewood fretboard. This rare, highly collectable Regal single cutaway archtop, is a great investment. Comes with a money back guarantee. Low starting bid and no reserve. Guitar is shipped insured, in a used chipboard case. Please email me for a shipping quote. Enjoy the auction!
