This guitar, considering its history is absolutely amazing. I played it side by side with a $1600 52 reissue and in my opinion, this guitar was smoother and faster. This telecaster is almost all Fender. It was built from authentic Fender replacement parts. The fender parts include the neck (serial number MZ3140819), tuners, pick guard, bridge, and Fender vintage noisless pickups. The action on this guitar is identical to my Les Paul.
The non-fender parts include the body which I think is ash (thats what the ad said when I got it - I'm not a wood expert, but it looks like it to me), the pots, pickup selector and jack. It comes with a DiMarzio locking strap and a gig bag. The only thing that isn't perfect about this guitar are the string ferrules on the back of the body. They are obviously not original. They aren't perfectly straight and there are a couple of small splinters where the drill came through. You can see what I'm talking about in the pictures. I have about $700 invested in this guitar, but I'm only asking $350. Thanks
On Jun-25-08 at 17:57:36 PDT, seller added the following information:I have gotten a few questions about the action on this guitar and since I said it was comaprable, if not better than my Gibson, I thought I should back that up and post the results. I measured the action at the 12th fret and it came in at 2.5/64, beating the Gibson factory settings by .5/64 and it plays that way too! Too bad I need the cash because this thing is sweet. Thank for interest and the inqueries.
