Pity me friends. I am having to slowly sell off my guitar collection to pay my lawyers for my divorce. Just got a bill the other day -- $1050.00 for four hours' work from them. Four hours! Lately I've been selling a guitar a week. Agony.
And it's particularly upsetting to be selling this beautiful, mint condition, Epiphone Sheraton II. I've always wanted one of these. You get all these great sounds from it: smooth jazzy feel with the neck pickup (the same sound as an Epiphone Joe Pass), that wonderfully rich sound that John Lennon had in the Abbey Road/Let It Be/early solo career days that you can hear most distinctively on 'Don't Let Me Down' in the middle pickup position (Lennon played an earlier version of this guitar), and that meaty and sharp Johnny Lee Hooker sound with the bridge pickup.
This is perhaps the most versatile guitar I have, but it has to go. I've only had it for a couple of months, and have only played it maybe five times. It has never been gigged and has never left my house except to be professionally set up. There isn't a mark on it. The wood is beautiful, the binding is beautiful, the inlays are gorgeous, the headstock is a work of art, and on and on. I hope the pictures show all this. The close up pictures are there to show you the detail in this beautiful instrument, not to show any marks, because there aren't any!It also comes with an Epiphone hard shell case that was made especially for this model and which isn't usually included in the Guitar Center or Musician's Friend price. It's worth $150 on its own. Here are the stats
