You are bidding on an Alvarez Acoustic Electric guitar model #5023. I have owned it for probably seven years and have recently bought a used Martin so I have decided to sell this one. I am not sure how old the guitar is, but I have done some research on the guitar and I know it was built in the 70's. I think between 1975 and 1979. It was originally purchased in Kansas City at Quigley Music, which I'm pretty sure no longer exists.
I have absolutely loved this guitar. It was my first acoustic electric I ever purchased. I have played it at many gigs and coffee shops and gotten many compliments on it. It has a very unique look to it with nice subtle flare to it. It has a very deep warm, bassy tone and doesn't sound 'tinny' at all. The guitar has a spruce top with rosewood sides, back and neck. The spruce wood has aged on top and turned a golden color which really brings out the rosewood sides. It also has white abolone trim and peal inlays on the fretboard. The tuners work great on it and the neck of the guitar is perfectly straight and there is no buzzing on any of the frets. I have kept it at 45% humidity since I've owned it.
