-- A wonderful guitar with a sweet beautiful sound. I have played 'Brazilian' 12's of the same era and cannot hear a difference. Its light midrange blends with other instruments and vocals very nicely, yet has a strong resonance in the bass.
-- Close examination will reveal that it does seem to have some history. It appears that the neck has been refinished, the binding replaced or repaired, and the bridge and pick guard have been replaced.
-- As you can see from the pictures, the finish on the back and sides is in unusually good condition . The front shows wear around the sound hole and a small amount of lacquer deterioration in a small area directly below the first strings. The finish seems to be repaired in a small spot next to the bridge; hardly noticeable. In other words, it looks its age.
-- I had the neck reset when I first purchased it about 8 years ago -- it
is dead straight and the nut aligns perfectly with the saddle. The
action is exactly as it should be.
-- It comes with a brand new set of Martin Extra Light SP's and a brand new hard shell case.
Shipping is by USPS; total shipping weight is about 15 pounds.
