1951 Fender Telecaster Nocaster Esquire Neck
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-10-06)
Price : US $1,225.
I have had this neck for many years received on a parts Telecaster,1957 body, blackguard, mixture of 50's and 60's electronics, etc.. It has been refinished, has no date code, but has a slothead trussrod used only late 1950 and early 1951. Neck has correct router template holes, Klusion tuner imprints, a fairly clubby profile, 1 inch thick at 12th fret, but only .8 inch at 1st fret. Correct position marker placement, narrow at 12th fret with very randomly placed side position markers, typical early Fender characteristics. The Telecaster name was not used till spring of 1951, so this could have been a Broadcaster, but more likely a Nocaster or Esquire. Neck has no cracks, truss rod works, has had different tuners on at one time so there are extra holes that are mostly covered by Klusion tuners. Neck will include original tuner escutcheons and original string retainer. Neck needs new nut, frets could be dressed but probably should be replaced when neck is refinished. All in all it is pretty cool. I always intended to do something with it but have just to many projects, so it would be better to give someone else a chance.

Post a comment on 1951 Fender Telecaster Nocaster Esquire Neck :
In 1951, the neck was signed in black lead pencil by the Fender guy who inspected it. I had one & like-a-fool sold it 20 years ago.
