Martin style 2-27 parlor guitar. 1900-1927. Beautiful tone and excellent for either Folk or Baroque music.
X bracing inside body.
Ice Cream Cone Headstock heal
Pearl rosette around sound hole.
Otilia (Close to hearing bone) and ivory binding on edge of top.
Ivory back binding and Zig zag center seam pattern on back.
No neck inlay on Ebony fret board.
Ivory nut and bridge piece
Original Ivory button (ivory in good, non-brittle condition) Jerome tuning pegs
Reads: 'CF Martin - New York' on center brace in sound hole - placing the age around 1900-1927.
Any repairs or adjustments made to guitar were done prior to my owning it.
Cracks in body; Normal/expected stuff for Martins of this age - easily repaired by a skilled repair person.
ON back - one that needs repair and 2 that seem to have already been repaired. The one that needs repair is not in
jeopardy of ruining the integrity of the body.
On TOP - one repaired Crack and a few other suspect-able things (you can see in photo's)
Bridge - It appears that the bridge has been moved, but I can't say. Good job if it has.
Frets - all are in order and fret board is WITH OUT PITS. looks almost new. some frets seem to hang a touch
over the treble side of the neck - maybe normal for this vintage and does not impair playing.
Neck - next to pristine with no cracks - beautiful light finish.
Head stock - no cracks.
Sides are clean with no cracks.
Binding - I have included a photo of one 3/4' piece of Ivory that looks either repaired or replaced -again prior to my ownership.
