You may never get the opportunity to own another one like this!!
I have never seen a Harmony in this kind of condition.
Certainly not with the HANG TAG!
The date appears to be from 1969, made in USA, but this guitar could literally have come from the store last week. There are no cracks, splits, or separations and the finish is not crackled. The neck is straight and the action is very good. This guitar appears to have been played a couple of times and put back in the case for nearly 40 years. The strings were never played enough to corrode and are still in pretty good shape. There are 3 small blemishes that keep me from saying the guitar is absolutely mint. One is a small scratch on the top above the strings(pictured) and there are two very small dings on the upper edge(also pictured).
Both of these could be touched up easily and the scratch can probably be buffed out, but I am leaving that to you the buyer.
Even with these minor imperfections you can bet there are very few Harmony guitars left on the planet in this condition. After all...4 out of 5 Harmonys produced in the USA no longer exist and we know the condition the ones left are usually in. The guitar is in such good condition I had to look closely to believe it was really a vintage guitar. It is though...from the Steel Reinforced Neck ...to the notoriously sloppy Harmony glue work inside the body. I acquired this from a man who got it from an older woman who bought it new for her daughter....technically making me its 3rd owner.
I am not a collector but this was just too good to let it get away. It needs to be in the hands of a H
