Well, here's another piece of the collection I am letting go. This is my 1959 Gibson Melody Maker. This is not an all original guitar but much cleaner than most I've seen on Ebay in the last few months. I bought this a while ago and dialed it in to my liking. If you know your Melody Makers, you already know the '59 has a one-of-a-kind pickup. A little wider and wound hot...and this one is hot!  At some point before I took possession, it has had a headstock repair. The repair was done beautifully! It was doweled and painted in the Gibson 'stinger' style. Looks awesome. When it was painted, the serial number was masked off so it can be seen. It looks like the whole neck was refinished at that time. Again, beautiful work and you cant even tell! The neck is straight as an arrow and the guitar plays great. Now, the things that ARE original to the guitar are the tuners, pickup, pickguard, pickguard screws, and strap buttons. The things that NOT original are the tailpiece, tailpiece studs, pots, tone cap, and knobs. When I got this, it had cheapo crappy pots in it and I replaced them with CTS pots. At the same time, I added a Sprague 'black beauty' tone cap to round out the electronics. It came with an Epiphone 'lightning' bridge for intonation purposes, I replaced that with a reliced Les Paul bridge that I drilled out and tapped for intonation adjustment. I wanted something that looked more original to the guitar, and it does. I have one original knob (the other one was missing) that I will include in the auction, along with the Epiphone bridge. At some time, the fret marker on the 15th fret
