1964 Guild Artist Award archtop with Dearmond
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-10-12)
Price : US $2,999.
Here is a nice, original 1964 Guild Artist Award, serial number 36402, with floating Dearmond 1000. It has some wear as pictured, with a very straight neck and much fret life left, with close action. The wood has aged over 40 years, so it has quite a crisp resonance, with a lot of cut. There is a place on the back that looks as if it rested on a guitar cord (pictured well), and some wear on the back of the neck(pictured well), and a small headstock lesion. I have avoided calling it a headstock crack, as it is very minute. There has been no repair, and it doesn't need one. It is pictured well. The guitar is really a nice guitar, and is deserving of a very good player, and someone who will appreciate a very nice instrument. original Hoboken label inside the upper f hole, model is descibed as' A.A. Special'. It has the original case, very nice, as well. This instrument is over 40 years old and is sold with no hidden reserve price, is sold 'as is' and there will be no returns. The highest bidder gets it. It is a great guitar. Shipping in the US is $40, overseas is $135.
