This guitar is being relisted because the previous winner chose not to pay or respond to any attempts at communication. I suspect she may be a teenager who bit off more than she could handle. Beware of a bidder calling themselves HAPPYDAYS 15. It could prove to be a waste of your time. That said.....
Here is a fine example of a completely original 1968 Gibson Hummingbird in a beautifully mellowed Cherry Sunburst. Serial number 500103 (pictured). This is the model favored by Keith Richards and can be heard on many of the Rolling Stones early acoustic ballads (Wild Horses, Angie, Etc.). It has been part of my collection for many years but since I don't play much anymore I have been selling them off over the past few months and apparently making alot of the new owners very happy. Check my feedback as a seller for recent comments from buyers.
This Hummingbird is in excellent shape. No cracks anywhere and never had nor needs any repairs. Mahogany sides and back clean and shiny. Neck is straight, action is near perfect, frets excellent. Playability is effortless. Back of neck has some blemishes into the finish but not into the wood. They have worn very smooth and are undetectible when playing. Possibly caused by a chemical reaction with a guitar stand but I really don't know. They appear much worse in the photos. Stays in tune for longer than any guitar I've had. Pickguard shows playwear (it's been played) with some color gone but is all there. 1967 and 1968 were the only years tha
