Vintage Kent 6 String Parlor Guitar
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-10-07)
Price : US $9.99
Up for auction is this old Kent Parlor Guitar. It measures 37-1/4 inches from end to end and 14-1/2 wide at the wides point. It has an open book headstock with inlaid logo, scrollwork. It has a two-ply trussrod cover. The nut is 1-3/4 inches. The tuning pegs are smaller than the holes in the headstock leaving spaces. It looks like there may have been bushings? The neck was broken and glued back onto the body (see pictures). The fretboard (20 frets) and bridge look like rosewood with 4 white inlays on the fretboard, and 2 round inlays on the bridge. One string is missing, and one tuning key handle, but you'd want to replace them anyway. There is some loose veneer on the bottom, and a fleck of what appears to be white paint on the top right side of the bottom of the guitar. This guitar needs TLC, but body appears to be solid, with a bit of loose binding on the back edge. Very pretty grain to the wood. It had stickers on it at one time as you can see faint outlines of them. Would clean up nicely. This guitar is sold as is.
