Vintage Gibson Guitar!!! ??
This is possibly a vintage Gibson from around the 1930's. A gentleman owned it who was obviously named 'Max.' This guy removed the name from the headstock, and did his own mother of pearl inlay design on the headstock. (See photo). His name has also been etched into the pickguard, and the bottom of the tailpiece. (See photo.) There is no serial number, or info in the guitar- therefore it may not be a gibson?!! There is no truss rod in this guitar. Notice the extra mother of pearl dots on the 6th fret. This appears to be done by 'Max.' Max has long since been deceased, and these mods were not done recently.
This guitar needs some repairs. This guitar is SOLD AS IS! Please see all photos. Large hole that was repaired on back of body. Smaller hole that was repaired on body. Small thin crack on back approx 6 inches long. Could use a neck adjustment. Top is in good shape with no cracks. Tuners appear original, and this thing stays in tune!!! Strings will be removed for shipping. Pickguard is slightly loose. Needs a new nut. Sorry no case.
With all that said, please know this is a guitar that is well over 70 years old. An awesome find, for an even better price!!!! These can go for thousands of dollars, obviously this
