2006 Martin custom adirondack D 28 sound in 21 body
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-11-01)
Price : US $1,976.
This is a custom Martin ordered by Fifth String Music in Sacramento. It is basically a D-21 Marquis if there were such a thing. Rosewood with 21 appointments and an Adirondack spruce top. Forward shifted and scalloped adirondack braces. Bone nut and saddle, ebony fingerboard-bridge-and endpins. Aging toner on top, beveled tortoise pick-guard. 1-11/16th inch nut width. A great sounding guitar. The guitar is in new condition made in '06. Approx. $3400 invested. I payed $3100 with tax then purchased and had installed an L.R. Baggs I-beam pickup ($250 value). Have you played a D-28 Marquis? That is what this guitar sounds like only less expensive. I'll throw in the case from my Martin D-18 Authentic (I'm getting a Calton). It's a cool reproduction 30's style. I will answer any questions.
I just took this out of the case (first time in a long time). This is a great guitar. Looks and smells brand new...sounds great. If you're looking at D-28V's or Marquis then this is the guitar for you. The adirondack top makes all the difference. You won't get a better Adi-rosewood-dreadnaught in this condition at this price.
