Well , I never thought I'd have to sell this guitar, but, cost overruns at the studio require it. This is my refinned J45 . I have gigged with this guitar for the last five years, and used it in the studio extensively. It dates to 1942 or 1943 I have to assume that as there are no marks or serial #'s evident. You will note that it has a rare maple neck. [ I tried to capture some of the flame in a couple of my photo's]. First, the good. Guitar is extremely stable, neck is a great size. Has period correct tuners, although I don't know if they are original to the guitar. Has tapered headstock, and finish appears to be original on headstock, neck, and sides. Top is incredibly crack free ,other than a small area behind the bridge, where there is a small impact type crack. Now the bad. Top was refinned long ago with poly. This has no effect on it's tone,The guitar is an absolute cannon. The back of this guitar was oversprayed, and buffed out well. You will note that, unlike the top, the sides and the back have a few cracks. All of these cracks are very old, and have been cleated a long time ago. This really is my most stable acoustic. It holds tune forever. I guess there was a pickup at one time, as there is a input repair at the lower bout. So, if you are looking for a truely great sounding and playing and sounding pre war for either performance, recording, or restoration,[ I really wanted to restore this guitar, but cannot afford it now] here it is. I will not accept bids from 0 feedback bidders. I ship and sell to customers in the continental USA only. All items are professionally packaged and insured . Items are
