Les Paul Standard Tobacco Flame
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-12-24)
Price : US $1,405.
When I wanted a Les Paul, it had to be Tobacco Burst. Flame is nice, but It had to be tobacco. Another one of my personal preferences is no pick guard.
I like the clean look of a Les Paul without the girly pick-guard. This one never had one installed, so there are no holes.
It also came with the Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II humbuckers. These are the ones Slash uses, and they have great tone. I'm a blues guy, but they sound super hard core for rock as well.
There is a Fishman Powerbridge (Also Slash Stuff) on this guitar as well. I've never used it...I think you have to use a stereo cable. It was there when I got the guitar, but like I said, I've never used it.
The guitar has definitely been played. It is not a museum piece. It looks awesome, and plays well. If you're looking for something to worship as an un-touched holy relic - then this guitar is not for you.
If you want sweet tone, razor sharp crunch, and a guitar with some soul, then this is your baby.
The serial number is 90297501. This means it was the second guitar produced on the 29th of January 1997 in the Nashville plant.
I don't have a scale, so I don't know how much it weighs. It's heavy, and the sustain is incredible.
Some how new guitars don't appeal to me. Musical instruments have to have a past to sound their best. This one has seen some smokey rooms, and been around a bit.
I've really enjoyed it, and I'm sure you will too.
