Fender Stratocaster Guitar
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-11-06)
Price : US $344.00
At auction is a 70's style Fender MIM Stratocaster. The guitar is Olympic White and has the 70's vibe of the American made '70's' Stratocaster except it is a 1/3 of the cost. The body is ash with a maple on maple “U” Shape neck with a stripe running down the back of the neck. It has a radius of 7.25', 21vintage style frets and a width at the nut of 1.65'. The scale is 25' in length. The head stock is over sized with a bullet truss rod adjustment nut and 70's style decal. The instrument is fitted with the 3-Bolt Neck Plate with Micro-Tilt™ Neck Adjustment (see photograph).
As can be seen from the photos the guitar has a 60th anniversary 'bug' on the reverse side of the head stock. I do not know what this represents in terms of celebrating something at Fender. The guitar was purchased in late 2005. The fact that it is some kind of anniversary model may explain why when using Fenders web site to date the instrument no date jumped out at me.
Three vintage style pickups are controlled by a 5 blade position switch with a master volume and two tone controls. Tuners are
Fender® Vintage “F” tuning machines. The guitar comes with a vintage style synchronized tremolo. Hardware is chrome with Fender® stamped on the saddles. Pickguard is a
3-Ply White. The guitar comes with neither a hard case or a gig bag sorry.
I am opening the bidding to US and Canadian buyers
