You are bidding on a rare and beautiful Ibanez Les Paul copy of a 1959 that made Jimmy Page famous.
Made prior to 1975 in Japan. 22 fret, maple top with 2 volume & 2 tone and 3-way switch. 2 humbuckers, the neck is an original super 70(I think) with a Tuna Matic bridge. Chrome hardware all in working order. humbucker. Body and neck are mahogany and the fingerboard is rosewood. The finish is sunburst and the grain shows, a nice open grain. Thin neck with medium height and width frets.Frets are jumbo nickel and have been replaced sometime in the last few years.
The pickg uard looks white but is a nice aged faded cream color that is made from a triple ply. The cream nut is also a triple black and cream ply.
This 35 plus yr old guitar has a few dings and scrapes consistent with its age. There is a spot on the back and the neck that has been refinished and is silky smooth to the touch.Barerly noticeable and difficult to photograph.
The cream pick up ring also has a small crack in it. I have an extra around here somewhere. Ill try and find it and send it along. If not they're cheap.
No case and no reserve but will pack well.
There are plenty of black and white/gold top les pauls this sunburst is extremely rare. Note the trapezoid inlays which is very uncommon on vintage Ibanez's.
Treat your self to a great Christmas gift that is appreciating in value all the time.
