This Taylor 855 Jumbo 12-string is a beautiful guitar kept in its case for most of its life, except to be admired and strummed occasionally. The Sitka Spuce top is complemented by its Abalone soundhole rosette and beautiful Indian Rosewood back and sides, all in a glossy finish. The mahogany neck features 20 frets on the ebony fretboard. The serial number of this guitar is 20000713145. The registration card is in the case and has not been submitted to the factory yet.
This guitar is not ce, it was made before ce. It is full dreadnaught perfect! This 'Killer 12-String' has a great history - it was the choice of Neil Young in the 1970's. David Crosby and Stephen Stills — Neil Young’s famous on/off-again cohorts —also purchased Taylor 12s in the ’70s, and in time they were followed by such of their contemporaries as Kenny Loggins, Peter Frampton, Greg Lake, Roger McGuinn, Steve Miller, and many others. In recent years, such major acts as Hootie and the Blowfish, Blues Traveler, Travis, R.E.M., Smashing Pumpkins, and Dave Matthews have purchased Taylor twelvers. The forward projection of sound is best appreciated by an audience - phenomonal!
This guitar is in excellent condition overall & comes with its original hardshell case.
