Stunning Martin D12-42RM Roger McGuinn Special Signed Limited Edition #20 of 62 12 string acoustic guitar with hard case. The legendary 12 string folk/rock icon Roger McGuinn, founder of The Byrds, Rock'N'Roll Hall of Famer, was honored by C F Martin Co with a Special Limited Edition Acoustic 12 string, the D12-42RM, in 1999. Once in a lifetime opportunity for a serious Martin collector and/or player! The D12-42RM is a 14-fret Dreadnought.  The soundboard is bookmatched from select Sitka spruce and lightly supported with Martin's 5/16' height x-bracing. Abalone pearl is carefully inlaid around the perimeter of the rosette, the ongue of the fingerboard and circumference of the top.  The sides and back are book matched from solid East Indian rosewood and a style 45 multi-colored mosaic inlay strip demarcates the two piece back.  The neck is shaped from solid mahogany and the fingerboard , inlaid with style 45 abalone hexagons, is crafted from solid ebony. Roger McGuinn's sginature is inlaid in pearl between the 19th and 20th frets. In keeping with the wishes of Roger McGuinn, the deluxe 5-ply Geib style vintage case is custom covered in black denim, with a special royal blue velvet interior. This guitar is as good as new, you will not be disappointed!
