Hey!!!! Up for bid is a 1960's **All Original** Airline Electric guitar........with a tremelo!!!! This is very rare and hard to get a hold of. My father was the original owner who was given this guitar as a present along with an Airline amp (That I just can't part with). The serial number on the back of the headstock reads.....(I-98886)........I always get asked that question so i figured I would actually post it first this time. :-) This guitar has been pretty well taken care of since in my possession. It was in storage for about 18 years, and now it is used quite regular as my slide guitar. It is in full working order. All tone knobs and volume knobs work, and the tuning keys don't even slip. The tremelo works very similar to a bigsby trem, you cant do dive bombs, but it works very good for small vibrato's, and amazingly stays in tune!!! The only negatives that I see is the nut on the headstock looks as though someone has taken it off and raised the action by putting a piece of plastic under it. It can surely be removed and lowered back down, but I used it for slide and just never really wanted to lower it. There are little rust spots on the back of the tuning pegs and the tremelo bars chrome has started to wear off and chip. The pickups have little indentions where the strings were, and that is all of the things that I could find that may be of some interest. I realy love this guitar, but my collection is entirely too large, and the wife insested that I let some of them go........women!!! LOL!!!
I am also including the case that is in the pictures.
