IBANEZ ARTIST AM70 VINTAGE NEAR MINT
This is a guitar I searched for three years. When I moved into a travel trailer, I sold most of my guitars. I tried to sell this one but it didn't pull the 650 reserve I had on it. It was still packed for shipment until I opened it to make sure it was still as I left it. It is still in great shape. I've tried to show the two nicks on the headstock as best I could but they're so small and minor it was tough. The rest of the guitar is flawless with only tiny scratches (probably from being in the case or in and out of it) that can be polished out easily. On the back of the headstock, 'Crafted in Japan' is in gold script just beneath the serial number (D860877). It was made in April of 1986.
The AM70 was made in Japan by Ibanez in 85, 86 and 87. It is a '335 style' (same thickness and shape) but smaller - just a bit larger than a Les Paul. It's a semi-hollow (f-holes) body with a solid neck block through the body. You'll find it to be one of the most comfortable guitars you've ever played.
It has a 22 fret, bound rosewood fingerboard and a 'shortstop' bridge. The tuners are 'Ibanez Smooth Tuners'. No pick guard; this model was not made with one.
