Gibson 1933 Century of Progress Centennial reissue 1994
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-12-08)
Price : US $1,525.
This is one of only 100 made by Gibson Guitar in Montana. This reissue is from Gibson's Centennial year 1994 and this instrument is #71 of 100. The original 1933 Century model Gibson is a rare collectable and this 1994 reissue series does the original justice. Flame Maple back and sides, Waverly tuner heads, choice finish with little to no wear. There is a hair line top/finish crack running about 1 inch off the treble side fingerboard going from the treble side shoulder almost down to the pickguard. In my opinion superficial without compromising the guitar structural integrity. Some faint finish checking on the back of the headstock. The back and sides are flawless. This guitar really has not been played at all. The mother of pearl fingerboard and headstock are a one of kind Gibson icon. The calling card of this unique guitar. It does have a Gibson hard shell case, I am not sure if it is original with the guitar. An amazing Christmas gift for that guitar collector in your life!Cheers and feel free to contact me about more info if you would like.
