1940 Martin O 15 Very Good Condition
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-12-08)
Price : US $1,567.
This Martin O-15 Concert Orchestral Model carries the serial # 79856 and was built in 1940, the first year of the O-15 production. The O-15 was constructed entirely of Mahogany with minimal trim.I inherited this guitar from the original owner. It is in very good condition, though it does show signs of use. Most notably, there are marks in the finish both on the back of the guitar body from laying in the case on the wrong kind of strap, and on the back of the neck. There are some scratches and a few dings in both the neck and the body. Also, there is a hairline crack in the bridge in front of the pins. All of these flaws can clearly be seen in the photos. The guitar sounds great and plays well, though the action is a bit high when strung with light gauge strings.
It will ship in a wooden hardshell case, also pictured.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, or if you would like more pictures of a certain area of the guitar.
Thanks for looking.
Enjoy the day
