Gibson L-2  Parlor guitar;

This is a re-issued of a 1929 Gibson L-2 Guitar it is number 32 of 100 made.

(See inside label photo) In 1994 Gibson made 100 each of some of the model guitars that were sold celebrating their 100 year anniversary. This is a sweet sounding Blues mans guitar. It sounds full and very load for such a small parlor guitar. I also play it in open G tuning for Hawaiian Slack Key and sound beautiful>

Is has a short scale so its supper easy to play. Everyone who has played it just loves it. I swore that I would never sell this guitar except then I found another new hand made parlor that I got a great deal on that does beat it and I find that I just haven't played this one for about a year.

It has a rosewood back and sides and a spruce top. It has a sparkly gold ring around the sound hole and I don't know what it's made of. It also has a raised pick guard that I had removed and then had a clear pick guard installed in its place. The photo that is here is has it just laying on where it would normally be attached.

The finish has several flaws. It looks to me that the lacquer finish that was applied seems to have been applied very thick. In front of the bridge it is actually bubbled a bit. It has nothing to do with the bridge being loose which is not it's just the lacquer was applied and it didn't stick properly and probably was applied over a   not so clean surface. Also some lines in the finish on the face along side the next. These lines are in the finish and not the wood. %
