This vintage parlor guitar has a 12 3/4' lower bout, 3 1/8' to 3 3/4' body depth and is 37 inches in length, a squared off peg head with open gear three to a plank machines tuning keys, 1 3/4' nut width, solid Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck with slotted headstock three exquisite rings of inlay around the sound hole, inlay around the front and back edges of the guitar and a strip of inlay down the middle of the back .The tuning keys look to be Ivory and the fingerboard is a high quality Ebony .The neck is bowed but the frets show only a little wear. The back has a split that can be seen in the pictures and a smaller crack that has been professionally repaired. I was told at Stein on Vein a music store in Hollywood that this was made around the 1920ís but searching the web I see guitars that look like this one dated c.1860. Go to the bluesbox collection website (goggle search Bluesbox collection) and look at the European Parlor Guitar ďin the Spanish styleĒ (c.1860) This guitar looks very much like the one pictured .A very cool looking vintage guitar case is included. This a no Reserve auction and is sold as is, however, if after you receive this guitar and you donít like it for some reason I will refund your money after the guitar is returned to me in its present condition.
