You are looking at an American classic, a Gibson Byrdland guitar. I was told by someone that this is a '68 or '69 model because of its curving. I don't know that to be the year for certain, but I do know my Dad bought the guitar new in the early '70s, no later than '72. For those of you that aren't sure what you are looking at, take a moment and research this truly rare and exceptional guitar. The pick guard must have had some type of chemical reaction and disintegrated. We recently took old Bigsby off and replaced it with a new bridge and replaced pickups, but we retained all of the original parts because it makes it worth more, you'd just have to switch them back out. There was some minor work done on trim at the top of the neck near the first fret, other than that its all original, including case. The guitar has been played, but never mistreated. It is in remarkable shape and would make a great addition to any guitar enthusiast's collection. I am selling this for my Dad so if you have any questions feel free to ask and I will run it by him. We would rather the shipping be arranged by the buyer but we will go to any reasonable lengths to insure that the guitar is delivered safely. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
