Vintage acoustic Epiphone by Gibson Dove EADV guitar
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-12-18)
Price : US $299.00

This is a really neat guitar that I bought on Ebay for a Luthier friend that wanted to fix it up. But he Ran off and got married so I am selling it to the first Lucky stiff that can give it some TLC and a new set of strings.
There are cracks on the both sides that need to be reglued. Other than that it should be no problem to bring back to playing but will no doubt take some doing.
If you are curious about the dimensions, the body is 16 1/2' wide, the sound hole is 3 1/2', there are 19 frets on the 19 1/2' long neck, the thickness of the body is 5 1/4' wide. It has real binding around the front and back.
I will start the bid at what I paid years ago.
There was an Email from someone who thought this might not be a Gibson but did not tell me why.
I just got another E,mail from a man who has studied guitars for 20 years. He was able to tell me that this guitar was made by Gibson but it is an an Epiphone. Probably from the 50's or early 60's. Someone just put the sticker on the headstock and we don't know if the factory or owner of the guitar did that. I guess that is why the guitar looks so close to a Gibson.
I just got some more info: It is likely a Dove EADV modeled after the Gibson J 45 They Have:
1)Round Shouldered Dreadnaught Styling
2) Solid Spruce Top
3) Mahogony Body
4) Set Mahogony Neck
5) Rosewood Fingerboard with Dot Inlay
6) Chrome Hardware
7) Dove Artwork on Tortoise shell pickguard
8) Moustache style Bridge..
