GIBSON 1957 J 50 WITH HARDSHELL CASE
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-11-22)
Price : US $1,425.
Gibson J-45 possibly J-50 round shoulder circa 1957. I am unable to find a serial #. I have been able to locate the FON # which at least indicates the proper year according to the Gibson website, and the Orion Blue Book. That # is either, U2309, or U2809. U indicates that it is from 1957. The guitar is in low condition. It is Dinged Scratched, and scraped. It looks like at one time someone had refinished the top natural. The bridge has been re-glued. Looks like the pickgaurd was removed and re-attached. Does not look to be the original tuning keys. The finish has come off in places. The back of the neck is worn. It looks as though the frets have been replaced and are in decent shape. The neck has some slight buzzing on a few frets past the 9th fret. The good news: It has a spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Rosewood bridge, Rosewood Fingerboard. the binding is in good shape. Plays and sounds fantastic. The case that comes with it is not original but is a Hardshell case blk with fur lining in great shape.
Attn Buyers: There is a small crack from the sound hole to just below the neck. It is a little over 1/2 inch long. I forgot to mention this in my description and wanted to update this listing. Thanks
