Gibson SG with Kahler Tremolo

Price : US $455.00
This is an old Gibson SG that we believe to be from 1986. We acquired this guitar second hand with most of its 'war wounds' already made. We are not sure what all is original, but after taking it apart, the Kahler Tremolo system looks to be factory installed. Also the routing for the humbucker looks to be factory cut. The Humbucking pickup is a Seymour Duncan 'JBJ' model. It absolutely screams. We are not sure if this came from Gibson that way. This is one of the most unique sounding SG's, with a combination of single coil and humbucking pickups. Each one of the three toggle switches turns on/off the corresponding pickup, therefore, all three pickups can be used at the same time. The volume pot is a push/pull pot that controls the humbucker's coil tap. The tremolo is a U.S.A. made Kahler tremolo. (Sorry, we don't have the tremolo bar.) There is a locking system above the nut that you can choose whether or not to use. It works well. The fretboard appears to be ebony. The tuners are Grover, which we believe to be original. There is a lot of checking on the finish. There are also spots where the cream color has been worn down to the white undercoat. There are also dings, nicks, scratches, chips, etc. in the finish. (See Pictures) The neck is solid and this guitar plays well. There is no case included in this auction, however will be packaged very well.
