This is a Guild X-79 Skyhawk. The serial number is: A0100004. It is an early prototype model used by traveling Guild salesmen to pitch the new model. It is estimated that this instrument was made around 1978-1979. The difference between these rare prototype models, and the standard production are: Amazing attention to construction and detail (these guitars were first representation of the product line to the music stores) Headstock shape is ''standard'' Guild, not similar to the shape of the body. This guitar is incredible. Its good looks are deceptive. It's got a thin, fast action neck and high output pickups that scream.

This guitar a true player's guitar. Dare to be different. An 8.5 or 9.0 out of 10.0 condition due to light pick-scratches on the body and a small ding on the back of the headstock. The original strap pins were removed and Schaller strap-locks were installed. These items are barely noticable. INCLUDES Guild X-79 guitar Schaller strap-locks. Original Guild case.

I believe that I was the original owner of this guitar. I was showing my son what kind I used to have and some of the things on this one, I recognized. Please let me know if whoever owns this may be interested in selling it. For nostalgia purposes. It used to play great and I plyed gigs with it back in the 80\'s. you can contact me at stevezarcone@sbcglobal.net If you\'re not interested in selling it, I wish you well. It served me well for quite some time. SZ
