Gibson Nick Lucas Custom 12 Fret Madagascar Rosewood
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-11-18)
Price : US $2,000.
2004 Gibson custom shop Nick Lucas. Possibly the only 12 fret Nick ever made with Madagascar Rosewood and Adirondack top, certainly the only one made in 2004 according to Gibson's customer service. 12 Fretter, 1 & 3/4ths nut width, 24 & 5/8ths Scale. Through saddle. The Rosewood, never as gorgeous as good Brazilian, has beautiful figuring, particularly on the back. With the Adirondack Spruce, and the deep Nick Lucas body the tone of this guitar is very bright and throaty, as well as good and loud, a beautiful blues picker (although, if you're strumming it you'll sound like 60's Dylan).
This guitar originally listed for around $8000. To order a new one would cost close to that and require about a year wait. Get it now for a fraction of the cost. Includes a brand new TKL arch top and bottom hard pro-case identical to the ones shipping now with Gibson Custom shop instruments. It also has a new Fishman Humbucker in it.
Everyone always wants to know so: I'm selling it because I have 2 Collings (just got the second), and enough's enough--this one has to make room.
