2005 FENDER BLUE FLOWER STRATOCASTER (Strat) JAPAN CIJ
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-11-20)
Price : US $510.00
This 2005 'Crafted In
Japan' (serial # P091380) Fender Stratocaster is an amazing player (my
Fender Gold Level dealer says it has one of the best-playing necks he's
come across). No fretwear, and NO ISSUES. This guitar is, again, a
great player. There are a couple of things that keep it from being
mint, however. There is a small chip in the front of the headstock (you
can see it in the right side in the photo). There are also two finish
cracks in the corners of the neck pocket. These cracks are IN THE
FINISH ONLY, and result from the thick layer of poly that is used on
these guitars; it's applied over the 'wallpaper' blue flower finish. My
dealer has removed the neck, and has assured me that the cracks are
again, only in the finish, fairly common in strats, and that the wood
of the guitar is absolutely sound. The small cracks have been there since I bought the guitar, and have not moved/changed in two years.
This guitar has had Fender
Vintage Noiseless Pickups professionally installed (the pickups alone
cost $150), so you won't have to worry about noise or hum. Just plug in
and play. These guitars are getting harder and harder to find (Blue
Flower Strats from Fender's first reissue run, in the 1990's, are
rapidly gaining in value). The quality of Japanese Fenders is
universally admired--ask any strat player!
The guitar comes with a used, but functional, tweed Fender gig bag.
The Blue Flower Strat will be PROFESSIONALLY packed and shipped insured.
