I am moving to Saoudi Arabia for 2 years and am selling my Brazilian/Adirondack custom Taylor (currently listed) and this beautiful, rare, finger-picker dream: a Martin J 41 Special. The serial number is 1025831. I purchased the guitar with its iBeam pick up in February 2007 for $3,779. I am unimpeachably meticulous and have kept it under the recommended humidity levels (47% with 3 humidity packs) and storage conditions (the case). It is in mint condition.
The guitar has a gold strap button on the heel, and comes with a professionally installed and positioned active iBeam pick up from LR Baggs. I tried several pick ups on it (M1, Martin Thinline and Fishman Matrix). The iBeam is the pick up that conserved the tone, response and resonance of the guitar the best. It had the very highest quality wood grain I could find, both on the top and in the back (the lower transverse green line on the back is a reflection of the case's rim). Consistent, flawless, and tight throughout. The guitar plays without a buzz, even when played aggressively. The high and low E strings are placed ideally (Taylors' are a little too close to the edge in my opinion), and the modified V neck is awesome (no palm cramping when playing close to the nut, which I get with low oval necks). If you look at your h
