Very rare 1982 Gibson J-25 with original case. All original. Closet classic, near mint condition. Early first year production in 1982, discontinued 1985.

No issues regarding finish, neck, frets, bridge, saddle, truss or bindings. The composite back projects very nicely with a even sound across all strings.

Original case like new with lock and keys. In 40 years of guitar playing and repairing I've only seen 3 of these models and none come close to this one

in both condition and sound. Appraised at $850, this rare piece will only go up in value as the years go by. *** Reserve is below appraisal ***

Shipping Info:

I have a black j25. It is not an op. The Serial suggests it was made in Nashville in 83 and it is marked as a j25. Great sound and great to play. It is the only black one I have ever come across.

This is one of the only posts I've seen of a j-25. I have a j-25-e (acoustic/electric)that I can find NO information on. If you see this, and have info on either guitar, please email robsutton@cox.net and let me know. Thanks, Rob
