Wow! The mythical Yamaha No. 150 Nippon Gakki. This was the most expensive classical guitar made by Yamaha in 1964. It was the top-of-the-line back then and very few were made so it wasn't as well known. It is solid Brazilian rosewood back and and solid rosewood sides. It was made by Yamaha's best luthier. The top is originally spruce, this guitar that was sold with a black top might have just been refinished. The sound on Yamaha No. 150 is just amazing. I wish I could find one. I know as a matter of fact that there are less than 4 known to be in existence in America and just a few in Japan.

Yeah, the YAMAHA NIPPON GAKKI NO. 150 is probably the best guitar ever made by Yamaha. I've been looking for one for a long time. Darn I missed this auction. I would have easily paid $1,500 for it, no questions asked, despite the scratches and all. The No. 150 is the truly vintage and all solid rosewood made by yamaha's finest luthiers
