Here is a very nice playing Ibanez RG550. It's autographed by Pat Travers. I'm not certain of the age, but I think it's from the late eighties to early nineties. Made in Japan as stamped on the neck plate. Typical stellar Japanese craftsmanship. I've owned the guitar since around 1999. I bought it in a small shop called the Guitar Foundation in Iowa City. It's in pretty good condition for its age. It's got some minor wear and nicks on the body. The neck is well preserved and very smooth and a joy to play. It's the thinnest neck I've ever played - an original Wizard neck. The frets are in good shape, with plenty of life left in them. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. There is minor tarnishing on some of the hardware, but thats to be expected with a guitar thats up to 20 yrs old. If anything it adds to the guitar's tone and vibe, as does the age itself. The new Ibanez guitars I've played can't touch this one.

The playabilty is excellent and should only require minor tweaking to suit an individual's personal taste. The pickguard is a mirror blue color. Everything is original on the guitar as far as I know. The part of the body with Travers' signature appears to have some type of laminate over it or under it, and as the photos show, the finish appears less glossy in that area. The most apparent blemishes are a few mainly around the edges, they're very small and wood can be seen on some. There are various finish checks on the guitar, such as the one near the neck (which can't be felt by running your finger over) and above the pickguard, but there are no major cracks or structural d
